Tohoku Food Culture Export Promotion Cooperative Association (Tohoku Focus) is an export business specializing in the export of food products from the Tohoku region of Japan.

People from all over the world want produce from Tohoku!

That’s why businesses in Tohoku need to unite in order to market and deliver their produce.

Due to the high quality, reliability and safety of agricultural and marine produce and food products from Tohoku, we propose to cooperate with sales and marketing, and through the merits of working on a larger scale we can reduce export costs and open new distribution routes.

This association includes businesses who handle meat, fish, vegetables, fruit, alcoholic beverages, and confectionary.

Rather than dealing with individual businesses, ordering a variety of products in one go and shipping together will reduce costs. So it will be possible for buyers to procure the highest quality produce at minimal expense.

It is still little known in the world that Tohoku produces such a wide range of high quality food products.

For example, a brand of beef that represents Tohoku is that of Sendai Beef, which has attained the highest rank of A5, the quality of which is easily recognized by other companies. The magnificent untouched nature and soil of Tohoku ensures that the cattle are raised stress free and so produces beef with the best umami.

In addition, the Oyashio and Kuroshio currents meet at the Sanriku Coastal area of Tohoku where a large variety of fish can be caught. The high nutrient content of the water ensures a yield of the finest fish in the world. Furthermore the different climates to the east and west of the Zao Mountain range, and the extreme difference in temperatures and harsh conditions lends itself to a rich crop cultivated in nature.

他にも、東北が有する三陸海岸は親潮と黒潮がぶつかることにより、多種多様な魚が穫れる上に、豊富な栄養、餌に恵まれているため魚体も最上級のものが獲れます。

また、蔵王連峰により、東と西で異なる気候を持ち、寒暖差の激しい土地で作る農作物は厳しくも豊かな自然に育まれ味わい豊かに育ちます。
